SUSTAINABLE FASHION AWARDS: THE SUSTAINABLE FASHION OSCARS RETURNS TO LA SCALA

Fashion becomes a political manifesto and looks towards the future, aware that how we dress and how we produce the things we wear represent an extraordinary medium of craftsmanship, cultural innovation and ethics.

Guided by these principles, the Sustainable Fashion Awards, the Oscars of sustainable fashion, awarded by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, came into being, and after the online edition in 2020, it returns in person at Teatro alla Scala in Milan on Sept. 25 for its fifth edition.

This edition has reached “maturity” and has the ambition to reaffirm its mission to establish a concrete set of guidelines to be adhered to globally, involving Italian and international fashion companies that have distinguished themselves for vision and innovation, commitment to craftsmanship, recognition of differences, circular economy, human rights and environmental justice.

It is no coincidence that the symbol of the event is Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Third Paradise, a reconfiguration of the mathematical sign of infinity, which from the beginning inspired the drafting of the Manifesto of Sustainability for Italian fashion and hopes to drive everyone to take personal responsibility for the global outlook.
